User agreement
This agreement is between CoKnow ("we") and the organisation that installs CoKnow in its Slack workspace ("the customer"), and applies to everyone in that workspace who uses CoKnow. A signed agreement with the customer takes precedence over this page.
1. The service
CoKnow is a Slack app. Asked about a proposal, it answers from the customer's own records of past approvals, with a link behind every claim to the source it came from. It reports what people said or wrote; it does not predict or simulate what anyone would say. CoKnow replies only where it is asked, in a direct message or a thread on an @mention.
2. What the customer authorises
The customer authorises CoKnow to read the sources it adds to its allowlist (Slack channels, Confluence spaces, and Google folders shared with CoKnow) and to store and index that content to answer questions from people in its workspace. CoKnow reads nothing outside the allowlist. The customer can remove a source from the allowlist at any time, and CoKnow then deletes what it held from that source. The customer confirms it has the right to grant this access, including under its own policies and any notice owed to its people.
3. How data is handled
Customer data is handled as described in the privacy policy. In short: each person is shown evidence only from sources they can already read; we never train a model on customer data; and we never use one customer's data to benefit another.
4. Acceptable use
Users must not use CoKnow to get around access controls, to profile or monitor individuals, to make employment decisions about a person, or for anything unlawful. Users must not attempt to reverse engineer, overload or disrupt the service.
5. Answers
Answers are drawn from past records and can be incomplete or out of date. Check the linked sources before relying on an answer. The decision about any proposal stays with the people who make it.
6. No warranty
CoKnow is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
7. Termination and deletion
The customer can stop using CoKnow at any time by removing the app from its workspace and asking us to delete its data. We delete everything held for that workspace, as set out in the privacy policy. We may suspend or end the service with notice, and immediately for a breach of section 4.
8. Changes
If we change this agreement, we will update the effective date above and tell the customer before the change applies.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the customer agreement.
